Virtual Desktop Configuration
Ensures that when a user accesses their XenDesktop, the environment has been pre-configured according to their role in the organization and their current context. The desktop can be centrally configured with shortcuts, printers, etc. for better user experience and with appropriate level of access to certain folders or tasks such as printing to comply with IT policies.

Virtual Desktop Configuration
- User-centric desktop configuration Centrally set up and assign user specific business rules to configure what a user has access to, how to access it and what he/she can do with it without requiring any complex and maintenance-heavy scripting.
- Comprehensive Rule Conditions Flexible rules can be placed on individual policy and configuration actions at a user, group, client, computer or server level to provide granular control and setup of a user's desktop, dependent on where and how the user connection to the XenDesktop session is established.
- Folder Redirection By redirecting user folders such as 'My Documents' to a low cost storage location, files and folders are not loaded into the virtual desktop. Instead shortcuts are mapped to the actual location of the files. This results in a faster logon process and reduces storage requirements within the virtual desktop image. Unlike profile management solutions, folder redirection via User Virtualization enables redirected files and folders to be available across different operating system versions. Folder redirection and file copy actions can also be applied on demand, such as when applications start or stop and as the redirected folders are stored in a centrally, they are available for backup and recovery.
