Software Tester/Team Leader

The company is now seeking an experienced Software Tester to join their successful team in a mixed hands-on/team leadership role.

Based – Daresbury, Warrington, Cheshire, WA4 4BU
Salary – circa ££38K + Benefits
Benefits – Pension, Private Healthcare, Life Assurance & Gym
Hours of Work – Full Time

Main duties

  • Manage a small team of software product testers
  • Write and execute manual and automated tests
  • Raising and tracking of detailed fault reports
  • Assist in the Maintenance of the test network infrastructure
  • Provide assistance to the customer support team, in reproducing customer issues

Technical requirements (essential)

  • Extensive demonstrable commercial experience of software testing in a structured test environment
  • Maintain a hands-on approach to software testing whilst leading a small team of software testers
  • Experienced in planning and managing test projects
  • Demonstrates leadership and initiative
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems
  • Knowledge of Citrix and terminal server environments
  • Knowledge of SQL/SQL Server
  • A genuine interest finding innovative ways to break software
  • Deeply analytical approach to test/research programs
  • Good technical problem solving skills
  • Degree/HND in a technical discipline.

  • Experience of scripting language or programming language (e.g. Perl/VB)
  • Automated testing experience.

Software Tester/Customer Champion

The company is now seeking a Graduate Software Tester to join their successful team

Based – Daresbury, Warrington, Cheshire, WA4 4BU
Salary – to £35K + Benefits dependant upon experience
Benefits – Pension, Private Healthcare, Life Assurance & Gym
Hours of Work – Full Time

Main Duties

  • Primary point of contact for escalated customer issues
  • Coordinate between Support, QA and Development teams
  • Reproduce and analyze escalated issues to generate detailed reports and work items for development team
  • Write and execute manual and automated tests
  • Raising and tracking of detailed fault reports
  • Assist in the maintenance of the test network infrastructure

Technical Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems
  • Good knowledge of Citrix and terminal server environments
  • Good knowledge of SQL/SQL Server
  • Demonstrable commercial experience of software testing in a structured test environment

  • Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
